I am greatly honored and excited to be able to write to you about Gigi de Lugo and Gigi’s Lavender, and the excitement she is creating in an expanding region. Lavender is gaining a huge amount of exposure and momentum because of its myriad of uses and benefits, and Gigi is so inspirational to her many customers and clients. Peace Tree Farm is proud to be a partner in her endeavors.

Over a period of the last decade, Gigi has been highlighting our introductions that have become the Gold Standard for lavender worldwide, and she was an early proponent because she saw the extra value of these introductions. She saw the clear advantage of Lavender Phenomenal®, Lavender Sensational!®, and our newest Lavender Exceptional®  in her region, an area that traditionally has not been good for lavender production because of heat, humidity, and poor drainage. Once she knew the plants were different and far superior, she committed to making the right choice for her customers. She can now proudly say that she has started over 30 new farms on their journey across an area ranging from Virginia through to Iowa!

Gigi also knows the great importance and value of marketing with expression of clear benefits and a clear message. She created the Lavender Exchange with this in mind--to provide an outlet for cooperative marketing and sharing of equipment and machinery and product ideas. All of her customers can benefit from this vision.

But now Gigi is taking the next big step, creating a ‘trade magazine’, a publication dedicated to a specific industry and its clientele to drive interest and spread the value and joy and also the technology and science so all can take the best and run with it. This publication, called The Lavender Trader, is a giant leap forward, and we are pleased and honored that Gigi thinks enough of us to want us along for her creation and future.
